Set entirely in the confines of a Egyptian police van during 2013’s street protests, a number of detainees from different political and social backgrounds are brought together by fate, during the uprising that followed the ousting of former president Morsi from power.

A reporter and photographer are arrested, suspected to be members of the Muslim Brotherhood, and thrown into the back of a police van; soon other demonstrators from both sides are chucked in, crowded in for hours in the boiling heat with no water. Through the grille-meshed window they get glimpses of the turmoil on the city streets as the van becomes a simmering cauldron ready to explode.
